Sun, Rain, and New Provinces
June 22 to July 1, 2026 · Schreiber, Ontario, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Brandon, Manitoba, Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
We left Schreiber with the battery down to 4%. The first sun hit our panels at 8 am and went from “send help” to “we’re so back” in seconds. We let it charge us while we enjoyed the morning view.
We saw a moose in Northern Ontario, and a deer crossed our path in Kenora. We crossed into Manitoba, spotted prairie dogs in Winnipeg, and the van went in for a check-up at Eastern Chrysler—these visits always stress us out. Day 7 at Lake Winnipeg was magical.
We drove to Brandon and said goodbye to Manitoba. Then Saskatchewan hit us with rain: “doing us dirty lol sorry for the sweary words.” We rolled into Prince Albert with a full first day.
