Fireworks and Fish Creek

We stopped at Funky Fresh Cafe & Bistro in Prince Albert, then drove to Candle Lake for the fireworks. By July third, we’d been on the road for two weeks and hit 5,000 kilometers.
We found ourselves parked on a cliff right above the river at Fish Creek, Saskatchewan. Waking up to deer swimming across the water and pelicans fishing from our bed was everything we’d built the rig for. “Getting to watch deer swim across the water and pelicans fishing right from bed is exactly why we built this rig.”
Saskatoon brought the Forestry Farm Park and Zoo, where we saw a grizzly bear. He was magnificent, though seeing animals in cages made us sad. We toured the Tunnels of Moose Jaw next, and by Assiniboia, a thunderstorm rolled through. Just wow.
