Puffins, Ponies, and a Fox
August 22 to August 25, 2025 · Elliston, Newfoundland, Dildo, Sydney, Mira Gut Beach
We left Greenspond for Hare Bay, where the ladies sent us off with “Gifts, coffee, yummy treats and adventures that await!” In Elliston we saw puffins. Only in Newfoundland do you spot a pony on a leash and explore a dungeon.
The next morning brought the Atlantic Charter Historic Site. In Dildo, the coffee house had “delicious Java n yummies to start off our day. The staff were wonderful and the atmosphere is great!” We grabbed another coffee in Carbonear, then headed to the ferry at Argentia.
The crossing to Nova Scotia was long, but Sydney didn’t disappoint. We popped in and found a beautiful spot: “The food was amazing, the coffee was fantastic, the ambiance stellar. 12/10 ladies!”
At Mira Gut Beach in Cape Breton, a cute fox appeared along the shore.
